is it? or was it riding on Adele's adult contemporary's 25 tail?

what was the name of the one before her? the one that nicki had a beef with? i've debating in between the two

we should keep it one song per artist if not its going to look like biggest hits list.

Still can't belive we have no Madonna, Taylor or Beyoncé

• For 2010s, what about Let It Go? For a Disney song, it was MASSIVE

• For the rapper, do you mean Lil Kim?

• One song per artist makes no sense because that's punishing artists with incredible legacies for having reset culture more than once :triggered: Like Madonna brought the 80s back wayyyy back in 2005 with the smash album Confessions.

• I already suggested Madonna's debut (Everybody), Taylor Swift's first real mainstream hit (Love Story) and Beyoncé's Crazy in Love. If you want more resets from them too, Madonna's Like A Prayer saw her terminated from a worldwide multimillion dollar pepsi deal and boycotted by the Vatican. Culture could never. :huntyga:

For the 2000s, what about Evanescence? THey had two big hits iirc, Wake Me Up Inside and My Immortal.

Taylor Swift love story was a hit but it wasnt a CULTURE RESET actually she adapted to the culture fusioning with pop, she always follow trends instead of seeting them.

I added work it by missy elliot and Crazy In Love, but with Madonna is hard because i feel like she is just there existing only

I think I can help with this!

Panic! at the Disco - I Write Sins Not Tragedies

My Chemical Romance - I'm Not Okay / Black Parade

Fall Out Boy, Jimmy Eat World, Paramore, Blink 182

Bright Eyes and Elliott Smith are significant influences here in terms of songwriting.

And slightly off-piste but The Cure are influential for pioneering the sort of 'soft goth' scene, sad lyrics with upbeat music (but they have been around for longer than the artists/bands mentioned above).

You could put Garota de Ipanema by Tom Jobim. Not only made Bossa Nova a worlwide renown genre, but it is also the most recorded music in history

So wich one shaped the culture? def one have to come first and be very popular like what happened to Britney, she wasnt the first one but she was the one that made the culture reset.

The Cure yes, are they from the 80s? How do we feel about Alicia Keys?

I'd go with one of the MCR songs and then a Blink 182 song, maybe All The Small Things
