Tyler1992 1,800 Posted October 9, 2021 Share Posted October 9, 2021 I have to admit I always wrote Britney off  especially with all that happened to her in 2007, I assumed that Blackout was a mess (with some bangers!) and it was messy because of what was going on behind the scenes with her. I still have reeducation I have to do. I did a dive into Britneyâs discography and listened to all of her albums! Iâm going to do a second one, because I feel like I never understand upon first listens (my biases and preconceptions always get in the way). but it DID make me remember how badass she was from like In the Zone on.. SUCH a huge act, SO legendary. It was amazing hearing all of her hits and tracing them back to a point in my life. Outside of those 2 duds and Radar, everything else is a 9/10 at least. With Gimme More, Break The Ice and Perfect Lover being the top of the crop. BlingNotTheMusic 25,695 Posted October 9, 2021 Share Posted October 9, 2021 Y'all have no idea how this thread actually made me emotional to see this album being celebrated I was 9 when Britney hit the scene and she became my first STAN artist (after Madonna of course) and to see her rise to fame, then the struggles she had, and we were BLESSED with this album. People made fun of her so much because of her struggles and it was a really unusual time for pop culture. It was SO heartbreaking seeing that news footage of her being rolled out on a stretcher into an ambulance. We never knew if our bop queen would return. Back then the album really didn't make that much of an impact given her performance at the VMAs, but now we know all the sh*t she was going through. The fact that this album has stood the test of time and is being celebrated but little young gheys like you just warms my heart  I'm so glad I got to tell y'all this before my 33rd birthday and I go to ghey heaven #StreamFreakshow #StreamGetNaked (Although I honestly despise Why Should I Be Sad, what a random snoozer to put on the album.
