Don’t get my wrong, but Doja, and the rest of the recent pop girls, don’t even come close to the Pop girls from the last 2000’s. I think it might be a social media/instant gratification kinda thing. You remember what they did for a second or so.

But Gaga, Beyoncé, Katy, and Rihanna…they did things that a generation will remember. 💅

U can’t count Nicki out either.

doja’s still new for sure and rising during 2020 didn’t do anyone who did any favors

Doja for sure has proven that she can hold her own in terms of performance skill alone, she really milked every performance of Say So and used it to showcase all her skills (like Gaga did with Poker Face and the various live + acoustic interpretations)

thoughts?

Beyoncé is almost 25 years into her career. She’s from like 2 generations of popstars behind Doja. Tho I agree Bey is easily the best female performer. She’s not that much theatrical but she's more te

Doja is already a better performer than Katy and Rihanna though, I'll give you Bey and Gaga.

I agree she’s a versatile and skilled performer but I would love to see more personality on stage.

Beyoncé is almost 25 years into her career. She’s from like 2 generations of popstars behind Doja. Tho I agree Bey is easily the best female performer. She’s not that much theatrical but she's more technical and evokes a sense of perfection unlike Gaga, who is way more thetarical, dramatical and less polished on stage. I enjoy both spectrums on the performing scale, because one is really polished and goddess like while the other one is more chaotic and weird, which is. basically because of their backgrounds, Gaga grew up as the weird theatre girl while Beyoncé was the "leader of the cheerleaders" and dancer. I think Doja is in the middle of the spectrum, she can be weird and theatrical but she's also very sharp in her moves and every move she makes on stage seems clean and well thought out, but at the same time she's crazy and weird AF sometimes, like Gaga. That's why I love Doja, she's on her own lane.

Without Gaga no one would dare being theatrical. Katy Peryr, Nicki Minaj and now everyone has been inspired by Gaga, it sucks how nobody talks about it, her influence was enormous. Doja wouldnt even think of wearing a chair in her head without Gaga. But she won't get credit by these people

Not mention that gaga herself made a dance holding lots of chairs. And doja's crazy outfits from the last vma was a attempt to make something memorable as gaga's looks in the 2009, 2010 and 2011 vma's. Even though she wasnt even close to top those outfits

Nice ageist attitude.

how does ageism even correlate:icega:

bey and doja are in different generations. that’s not even a controversial statement, it’s true. they’re 15+ years apart in age
