No, this is an industry wide issue that has been building up for some time, because it's not a sustainable format with so few pressing plants around. Pre-COVID, artists typically needed to submit to pressing plants no less than 2 months in advance if they wanted their materials to ship on time; Doja and LNX were retooling their albums mere weeks before they were released. There's no way they'd be able to get anything out on time now that plants require more time to get everything together. They were already overwhelmed by label demand, and then COVID hit and made it 50x worse because of shutdowns and whatnot. Combine that with the fact that there is now a global shortage in supply, these delays are what happens. Smaller artists and labels are hit hardest (some releases from this year aren't expected to be shipped out until next spring at the earliest). There are albums I pre-ordered in 2020 that I didn't receive until this summer. Major labels can bump ahead, but even then there's still a wait time that is about 6 months at a minimum.
