A very messy era. The fact it only lasted 5 weeks on the Billboard 200.

Still wonder how it would've fared had NRO been given the proper promo treatment and the whole album rolled out smoothly after that with decent gaps between singles. Her pregnancy meant it couldn't be given a fair try especially when it came to official videos which is why she did a video series of animation instead. I think the Cry About It Later animation stands perfectly well on its own though and I'm still amazed it didn't become a single, it was one of the few songs there that had hit potential and is the most viewed and liked non-single for a reason. Only Love as she performed it live as a duet would've worked great for a single too. I'm still annoyed that no one responded well to HiH, that song's one of my favourites of all time from her and why the deeply personal Never Worn White wasn't included on the standard must have purely come down to bad chart performance. I have the feeling it'll be a long time until we see another Katy album, she seems to want to focus on motherhood and marriage plans right now. But I wonder if she'll pull an Iggy Azalea and decide to give it up one day in favour of more lucrative ventures? Time will tell.

I finally found LMs who think the same . I love the album. It has bops!
