And he has made a conscience choice to be a rancher. In other words he wants an early retirement.

Idk. I think its valid in some cases. When Ewan MacGregor cheated on his wife of 22 years with his Co star, someone who had helped him through rehab, who had moved to a different country and whose career very much had to work around his and raising their 4 children.. She deserved what she got.
