Venice is big, but it's not the biggest. Toronto, Cannes, Sundance, Austin. Not to mention Telluride, Tribeca. This is absolutely no big deal and means nothing in terms of the quality of the film.

I KNEW IT. This movie does not actually exist. This whole thing was another Dom Perignon ad. Ridley Scott lied to us. Gaga's Oscar is CANCELLED.

Wait, so Ridley Scott shot another Dom Perignon ad? HYPE :tony:
CHROMATICA PROMO IS BACK, can't wait to see all the lewks :woohoo:

Makes sense...the deadline for submission was June 11.

https://www.labiennale.org/en/cinema/2021/regulations

7.1 Opening and deadline of submissions
The submission of films to the 78th Venice International Film Festival is open from 18 January to 11 June 2021. While for VR works the submission deadline is set on 31 May 2021.

Thanks for this information. Didn't A Star Is Born have scenes from the Joanne World Tour which didn't begin until August 2017? How did A Star Is Born manage to get into the festivals if some of the deadlines were set so early?

For movie this big like Gucci, if Ridley tells them that they can finish it before festival, there is no problem for Venice to leave a spot for it regardless the deadline, and Venice wouldn't want to miss this huge hype if they are given the chance.
