It's honestly hard to find any good government workers in small towns :rip:

Everyone's related to everyone else & you get the job based on what church you go to. It's all sketch.

Exactly, even tho I love small towns, the government is often not very good lol

Component leaders and a population that listens to common sense? They're bound to succeed regardless tbh.

I think theres a multitude of different factors involved in who got hit bad and who didnt some of which have more to do with luck

But definitely if u have a government that made wise competent decisions early on, reinforced with a population actually co-operating ur much more likely to succeed

Where i live its a joke. Most stuff is still closed (reopening starts friday) but ppl still gather and businesses still operate underground. Instead of going to barber shop u hire them to come to ur house for example which is even worse cuz then theres less safety rule enforcement

Half the ppl i know havent followed rules since day 1 :toofunny:

Edit: from what i saw on media i think most of America especially the south was still worse tho :selena:

I need to emigrate to either Australia or New Zealand before the sinking ship that is the United States capsizes for good :emma: this Trump cult and now the Repugnants actively working against our democracy with the support of the very voters they're disenfranchising has me spooked tbh.

I'd say come to Canada but then ever since the pandemic started I feel like we've become a lite version of America :laughga:

Hun we been a less hardcore version of America in many aspects for a very long ass time.... our healthcare and gun laws being the biggest distinction

And even on healthcare, its not even that free. Were still like a halfway mark between much of Europe and USA

Many segments are free but many segments still privatized like dental, vision, phychologists, some specialists, medical equipment, prescriptions etc :deadbanana:

I need to know why Osaka is ranked higher than Tokyo? I lived in both and Tokyo is by far better.

Osaka is more affordable (in context of a comparison to Tokyo), hence it scored far better on the cost of living metric than Tokyo did.

I love that meme way too much, I cackle every time I see it. I also love the distorted "te odio Venezuela", a mood.:ladyhaha:

We have two selves. One the world needs us to be, compliant, and the shadow. Ignore it and life is forever suffering.
