LittleMonster20 9,575 Posted May 1, 2021 Share Posted May 1, 2021 I was listening to I Like It Rough recently and one things that stood out to me is that the beat sounds just so iconic and recognizable and if you told me it was sampled from one of those super famous songs everyone knows I’d believe you, although I don’t know which one. In These Things, the line “I heard its cold out but her popsicle melts, she’s in the bathroom, she pleasures herself, says I’m a bad man, she’s locking me out” is very similar to “I’m in the bedroom with tissues and when I know you’re outside banging then I won’t let you in, it’s a hard life with love in the world..” as far as the production, I think like Money Honey, it borrows a bit from Push It by Salt N Pepa and Depeche Mode as mentioned above.
