ARTPOP was just jammed packed with catchy and memorable hooks, whereas around half of Chromatica's songs have instrumental drops instead of choruses (not that it's necessarily a bad thing - but it does mean her hook writing skills are shown off less). Personally I prefer Gaga's silly and fun lyrics, but I can understand why some might find ARTPOP's lyrics cringey. Ohh yeah you're right, I get it now. Nothing like that Aura chorus.
