What are some Cher albums you’d recommend for a beginner to listen to first and why? I’d like to get more into her.

Aaaaah!! Cher is an absolute Queen!

Her best album in my opinion is Heart of Stone from 1989, Peak Cher. Rock goddess.

Self titled from 87 is also amazing.

Her newer stuff is alot more pop and camp.

98's believe is great. Standout tracks for me would be runaway and love is the groove.

Chers greatest hits 65 to 92 album has a great collection too!

Believe and Closer To The Truth if you’re a fan of dance pop music, maybe the ABBA covers as well. If you like this sound and would like to hear something even more electronic, go for Living Proof.

If you’re more into 80’s and rock you can go for Heart of Stone and Cher.

Believe (full of 90's eurodance hits)

Heart of Stone (iconic)

It's a Man's World (underrated masterpiece)

Living Proof (another underrated masterpiece that deserved better)

Closer to the Truth (bops for the Gays™ + sad ass ballads)

I've dancing to 'Close Enough' since it aired on Drag Race. I loved it.

I'm looking forward to hear more Cher too. :nick:

Greatest hits is a good one! It's the only Cher album I have tbh.

Honestly I'd start with her The Greatest Hits, The Very Best of Cher or Cher Gold (all compilation albums). Her career spans so long that there are so many musical styles and vibes

There is a compilation called The Way of Love that offers a great selection of her 60s and 70s stuff.

You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love.

Her whole discography :vegas:

It's probably best to start with Believe and then the albums following Believe. And after Dancing Queen, I'd recommend Cher (1988) and Heart Of Stone
