Back in the day, a lot of artists (most notably Hispanics) wanted to breakthrough in more countries where their language is spoken, thus most of them released albums in English in order to crossover in the US and other countries like the UK and Australia. Some were massively successful, like Shakira, who went on to record more music in English. Others had moderate success, like Paulina Rubio, who released a few songs in English and Spanglish later. Others, like Thalia and most artists in the list, never sang in English again.
