Pokemon RGB/Yellow Pokemon Silver/Gold/Crystal Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald being ported onto the Nintendo Switch. So they won't be remakes, it'll be the classic original versions, playable on the Switch. bionic 37,580 Posted February 26, 2021 Author Share Posted February 26, 2021 This was posted on r/PokeLeaks as a roundup Spoiler Aight so, from what's being reported, The Diamond & Pearl remakes are developed by ILCA. Not GameFreak. The second game is a Prequal; made by GameFreak themselves. Little bit of info about ILCA - They made games such as Yakuza 0, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and the assets for Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. ILCA's remakes would be a 3D Chibi style. Similar to LGPE or ORAS. Whereas GameFreak's going all out BOTW with the prequal game. Following that, it seems like GF's Pokemon series will be undergoing a "new evolution" in the core series. The new evolution? The mechanics of the new prequal will have a seamless battle system instead of turn based. There's rumours saying you can change between which system you want. The scan leaks seem like it's a very open world Sinnoh region. Also has features of open world Breath of the Wild. And this would be the mechanics going forward for the next gen main series. Remakes is this year (2021), the GameFreak game is next year (2022).
