I work exactly in this business, with a Portuguese organic sustainable body care brand for hotels. I will never understand how people think paper is a good way to be environmentally conscious, it's super wasteful. Aluminum too.

My brand's owner thinks like this too. I guess it's because these materials *can* be recycled, but most of the time they never will. They are still marginally better than plastic, which is good, but the lack of actual care for the environment while promoting it as such is kind of annoying. And they even charge premium prices for this "feature" most of the time. It's total greenwashing.
