well... I knew she was nervous.. I could tell by how she came through that door & down those stairs... and then there are those pictures They speak for themselves right?

I just love that she also still gets nervous... she's human after all. But when she took that microphone her face instantly changed and she delivered like a pro!

This story makes me so happy. My brother is a naval commander, and at one point was the captain of the navy drill team and a member of the Ceremonial Honor Guard. He was in many ceremonies, including Clintons inauguration. I texted him their pic and said, "If this was you, would you tell Gaga your sister is a  little monster and one of her biggest fans?" He said, "I would!"  (He takes his job very, very seriously, and is super professional, so it was quite surprising to hear him say that.)  He always talked about how kind Clinton was during ceremonies that were very, very cold. He would invite the guard into the Oval Office to wait in between the dignitaries arrivals.

This wasnt a normal performance. She would need to be a sociopath not to get nervous. 

- she hasn't performed live in a year besides the VMAs, and that was recorded and had no live audience. So she wasn't "match fit". If she was coming from playing Vegas every night I'm sure it would have been a little easier. Performing live is like a muscle, it's easier the more you do it (usually). 

- it was a HUGE event, after a miserable 4 years politically, and even more miserable past year where most decent people have been stuck at home not seeing their friends and family. She knew people wanted to be entertained. 

- she was wearing a huge skirt with huge heels and had to walk down stairs. 

- Biden is a personal friend. She didn't want to mess it up. 

-it's a notoriously difficult song and she was singing it 100% live in the freezing cold. (Whitney, Beyonce, Jhud etc all lipsynced their national anthems, just sayin ☺️)

- she's had a tough year, like a lot of us have. But now we know some of the reasons why hers sucked. 

- she had just seen the reality of the insurrection on her Capitol tour I'm sure that was pretty scary. 

-playing in front of the political elite is high pressure. And it must have been weird with no typical audience.
