When I was young, I felt immortal
And not a day went by without a struggle

&

I heard one sine..

-------------------------------

Thats it. His only solo parts.
The rest of the song is either Gaga or they sing together in harmony.

Wasn't this song originally written for Elton?
Listen, I'm not complaining, I'm just pointing something out

I got the impression that the beat, not necessarily the melody or the lyrics, were what was being workshopped w/ Elton.

Linus Gaga

as long as his vocal is recognizable and unique im not a big fan of it. However the parts they sing together was unexpected good

Well yeah, but Gaga is the main artist in the song and she was the one who resuscitated it from song purgatory so :poot:

This was an official message from the Office of the First Lady.

Well, Elton's version would have different lyrics anyway. And might sound a little bit different too.

I don't believe Gaga will just using the music raw without reworking it first.

It sounded, from what I read, the breakbeat section at the end was actually more prominently feature throughout the song, too. So it sounds like they may have just had a bare structure that they rebuilt (similar to how Replay’s beat came from a track BloodPop was making w/ a sample from “It’s My House” by Diana Ross, then he and Gaga worked it into what would become Replay).

Sneaky Oliver

Gaga sings backing vocal for his verse and they harmonize for the chorus so I think he's got a fair part

I’m on my Legacy Act era
