Lawyer who Britney hired to prevent the c-ship in 2008 speaks up

Britney hired Adam Streishand in 2008 in order to prevent the Conservatorship that she was aware her dad was planning.

However, her dad obtained a restraining order preventing Adam Streisand from acting for Britney or helping her. Jamie claimed Britney did not have the mental capacity to hire a lawyer, the Judge accepted this (without the proper checks being done to confirm this claim). The Judge denied Britney her 6th Amendment Right, 'The Right To Legal Counsel'.

Adam Streisand was therefore prevented from helping Britney, he states when he met and spoke to Britney she was absolutely in sound mind and understood clearly what was happening.

He will be featured in the New York Times documentary 'Framing Britney Spears'.

He posted the below on his instagram:

I've been trying to follow her case but it's so hard to keep up with everything. Does anyone have any general knowledge as to how her case is going? Like is her dad still her conservator? Are things looking good or bad for Britney? Is it likely that she will be freed eventually?

Things are looking good for her, but he's currently still in control of her money and hasn't been fully removed. We NEED media to take this on and get her out of this and I'm so thankful FX/Hulu are doing this!

So in the last hearing Britney's lawyer requested Jamie is suspended as conservator and stated Britney is very scared of her father.

The Judge denied the request but said they would be open to this in the future.

Britney requested Jamie is replaced by 'Bessemer Trust' a financial fiduciary to deal with her finances. Despite the Judge refusing to suspend Jamie they did make Bessemer Co-conservator which is really good. However, Jamie is still involved with her finances.

Jamie is NOT involved in her Conservatorship in relation to Conservator of the Person (day to day life and medical needs). Britney requested someone called Jodi Montgommery remains in charge as Conservator Of The Person. Jamie remains Co-Conservator of the State along with Bessemer Trust.

What is great is that for the FIRST time in 12 years Britney was allowed her choice of legal Counsel, she requested she had a team of lawyers fight her case for specialist litigation relating to Conservatorships. This is there as a precaution to help when Britney officially files to remove Jamie.

In the last hearing Jamie referred to Britney as being like a 'race horse' and 'she should be treated like one'.

Things are looking MUCH more positive than they have.

Britney's business manager Lou (who allegedly gave Jamie the idea to put Britney in a c-ship) resigned with immediate effect a couple of months ago suspiciously. Britney's lawyer is querying a lot of payments made to Lou as they look very strange and he does not know why Lou was being made so much and a lot of payments redacted and he requested further information regarding these.

@JordanBreatheHeavy did a few really informative videos on it that really breaks it down

I mean, that's good and all that it's getting attention, but it's already too late for Britney, she mentally has been changed by simply being in the conservatorship in the first place, anybody would after giving up your freedom for 10+ years, she is even okay with it now consciously it seems, but it's like Stockholm Syndrome-type situation, you see it all the time. Now she is the way she is, and we can all see it. It's just very sad :cyanlights:

I mean of course she isn't, but her outward personality manifests in being okay with it, like she's just completely given up. It's very sad

She’s obviously not okay with it seeing how she still fights in court all these years later.

What does that even mean, too late? Yeesh

Amm she is to this day still fighting against it. She legally can’t post about it or even speak about it so her not being open about it doesn’t mean anything..

I mean I knew that was going to be the reaction when I phrased my statement that way, but it's been 10+ years now, there is DEFINITELY a part of her that has completely surrendered to this, it's impossible not to have, even if she is still fighting it legally. It's been over a decade. I know if I fought something, then after ten years of losing the fight, I would still fight but I would have totally abandoned quite a significant portion of my hope.
