Her inclusion of Spanish words and sudden inflection of Let's Get Loud will definitely put her in line for some criticism but obviously it'll have been cleared with relevant authorities for her to do that. But the public will definitely have some mixed reception about it. The Spanish bit at least had significance but giving a quick shout-out to her own song, which none of the other performers did, in a way that seemed to reference her recent SB appearance in a piece of self-promotion was just too much and I'm surprised this was given the green light. Fair enough in other situations but an inauguration is about singing the classics, leaving ego at the door and representing something bigger than yourself. Her vocals are too perfect and then sheâs shouting with a much deeper voice - the difference is huge. To be honest, I wasnât expecting a live vocal performance from her.
