Kate Bush's iconic Wuthering Heights was released 43 years ago today! The debut single made Bush the first female artist to achieve a #1 hit on the UK charts with an entirely self-penned song, and it dethroned ABBA's Take a Chance on Me at the time, and remained #1 for a month. The music video also features her iconic red dress and dance moves.

The dance performed in the video became widely known among Bush's fans, leading to the yearly event known as The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever where fans meet up and recreate the dance in group.

I C O N

no one will ever be or hope to be the type of legendary Kate Bush is.  There's no one like her and never will be.  The first woman in british history to top the charts with a completely self-penned song.  A storyteller unlike any other in music, and a kind humble woman to boot.
