I just felt it would be cool and of interest to some of you, to list them all here in one place. So now that we are in a new hopefully better year, let's once again look back at the amazing year that Gaga had, especially on YouTube, where she for the first time passed 2 billion views in a single year! The first achievement is her crossing the 2 billion mark in a year - 2,021,567,688 views to be precise. I mean.....Rain On Me only 260M views, Blinding Lights 324M, Say So 258M, Cardigan 75M,....... It's clear that the views for english song have decreased a lot in the last years, so I don't understant how Gaga's videos have actually increased it's views......... Have they decreased a lot though? The top English language music video of 2020 was viewed 1.4B times, while the top English language music video of 2019 was viewed 950M... I think the popularity is the effect of three factors at once: 1. ASIB has been broadcast worldwide on TV channels and many people searched for Shallow and her other songs 2. Gaga released a new pop record that made her old pop songs interesting again 3. To say it's dying is a little dramatic. Music trends always vary just because a lot of foreign music has been in lately doesn't mean English music is dying  Also YouTube a couple years back modified some algorithms to further exclude questionable views or spam views which no doubt had in impact in bringing average music video views from their previous highs  Also Gaga's last peak was many years ago when YouTube views were much lower...  Her recent peak last couple years comes in a time with more views and as she regained popularity perhaps more ppl went and looked thru her catalogue  But it's relative. In 2010 and 2011 she may not have gotten as many views in total but look she was #3 and #4 for the year. By those days standards she still got more than she did in 2020. Don't forget, Bad Romance was literally the most viewed video on YouTube. And that was before it reached the 300M mark  Looking at total numbers is comparing apples to oranges. 2020 is not her strongest year of her career relative to her peers.
