I know, but I don’t think Interscope had full control over what to promote and what not to. WB clearly wanted Shallow to be in the spotlight. Over commercialisation does sound tacky to me. Especially for a critically acclaimed movie like ASIB. If it was just an averagely rated blockbuster then I’d be all for milking multiple singles. I can understand this and I even agree to some extent but make the song an official single WW and push it in some playlists after the Oscars, it wouldn't hurt Shallow really.
