It was about love,!It wasn’t risky like her other works and Gaga wasn’t “eccentric or weird” so it was socially acceptable to like Gaga during that time. And Gaga’s the main character, the star, she’s the star that was born, her name brought so much attention to the film. 2. Gaga released music that she wrote and sung and it resonated with the public, and she smashed, whether you want to admit it or not. 3. She was still recovering from GP canceling her for taking risks with ARTPOP, Joanne singles flopped, and in spite of getting acclaim for American Horror Story the public was still skeptical. People here were right not to get their expectations high, especially since the #1 songs at the time were nothing like Shallow.
