And to think Rihanna has been on a break for only 3 years. She released Anti in 2016 and a bunch of other singles all the way through 2017 but feels like forever. That streak of one album per year back then really makes this feel like an eternity but Adele releases albums every 5-6 years.

Anti was released in early 2016, 4 and a half years ago. She may have released some singles, but the last time I remembering hearing about Rihanna's music was 2016. She didn't have a couple of features since 2017, but no sign of an album.

Fans beg for new music, and outlet after outlet have said that its coming for a number of years now. But c'mon, she doesn’t look like she'll be releasing anything anytime soon

And its nonsensical to compare her to Adele. See Adele announced that she was going on a hiatus after her last tour to take care of her son. So we already knew it would be a while before we get new Adele music. And we also have confirmation that Adele WILL be releasing new music soon.
