Microsoft buys game-publisher Bethesda

Let's hope this doesn't turn out like EA buying bioware :awkney:

It looks like a very strong move to do just before the release of PS5 and Xbox series X.

I was hesitant to buy the PS5 but if this means The Elder Scrolls might be exclusive to Xbox then I will stick to me PC for now.

The problem with MS is the fact they insist on making their "exclusives" also available for PC users. So, I already own a gaming PC and I see no reasons to buy an Xbox.

Omg, Microsoft are ready to do anything just so that the PS5 flops :ladyhaha:

I mean, by buying Bethesda they have now the power to forbid the release of future games on ps5. Like the next Elder Scrolls

well I flopped. Preordered a PS5 since I don't do much gaming these days but I know for sure I would play the next elder scrolls...

I was hoping to save money and not get a powerful PC...well....damn....

This is so ridiculous. These games better not be made exclusives or there will be riots.
just make your own goddamn exclusives. Stop acquiring them

Ummm, they paid 7.5B....I think it's as obvious as it gets, that Playstation won't ever see any of these franchises ever again

Can't you try to feel? Never seen the future so real

If they try to make any Elder Scrolls game console-exclusive I will become a toxic gamer who bullies people on the internet to the extent where they have to shut off their accounts :triggered:

Makes a lot of sense, especially with the way MS is pushing PC Gamepass.  They seem way more interested in getting people into their ecosystem, no matter from what entry point.  They already committed to every first party game coming to both Xbox and PC so I don't see that changing here

The only one I used to play was Elder Scrolls and that title usually multi platform, I don't see they changing it into exclusives anytime soon, it will only hurt their market.   :billie:

Even with this move, PS5 lead remains huge. But I guess now they have a chance.

Games will probably remain multiplatforms but time exclusives will now be directly for Xbox.

As for porting games on ps5, Sony will have to invest or beg them I guess :saladga:

I don’t see TES becoming an X-Box exclusive anytime soon. Many players of the franchise (such as myself) play on PC. They would be shooting themselves in the foot.
