4) I'm sorry if I misinterpreted what you were saying, it sounded to me like you were parroting the "if you don't like it then you don't get it and you're stupid, ignorant, etc." which I find incredibly condescending.

 

Like I said, I like it. It's miles better than videos of hers over the past few years. The acting is great, the aesthetics, while I don't really link them to 911 in my head, are executed well and not cringe (which is hard to do when portraying non-white cultures). I just think she's done the artsy angle in the past a bit more effectively.

(1) Okay, fine that's your opinion. I just thought that you dismissed her art style of campiness. However she will stick to such style. Although some may not like it but for most of her fanbase, they are ecstatic about this kind of fashion. 

(2) I really don;t get your point either. What I mean is that this video (the visuals and concept) may be tailored in such manner because they envisioned it as a series or so. Hence the movie like scenario at the end.

Well it's fine for people to feel in such way. It's is something new from her after all.

I didn't know about the flying part though! I will check that. Although I'm not a fan of movies referencing old movies by using the exact same old and bad technique instead of adding it a modern, better executed twist, but that's just a preference. That's not the only thing I don't like about the video technically though, there are a lot of things in the cinematography, choice of shots and editing that I find questionable.

i’m sorry, but i rolled my eyes at the bolded statement. it’s pretty arrogant to compare your filmmaking with lady gaga’s choices that were certainly talked about with professionals of the business.

Truth be told, I think this was actually one of her less pretentious videos. She's definitely erred that way in the past, but this time didn't really feel that way and I think we can attribute at least some of that to her working closely with a director instead of taking the lead herself on this one.

Why is it you stans can never accept some fans do not like everything Gaga does? Just because it's ''art'' , it has symbolism and hidden messages doesn't mean people have to like it.  Not liking this video doesn't make me uncultured, ungrateful or a hater and I most certainly don't dislike this video for the lack of choreography or flashiness. We should accept each others different opinions and tastes. Period.

Not the story. I think its the best story and meaning in her whole career BUT
the music video itself in terms of cinematography, editing, composition. Is probably her worst looking music video.

 

EDIT: and yes I LOVE the Stupid Love music video because it was beautiful composed. Matched the song. And had to the beat editing.

Not you complaining about the cinematography in the 911 video but praising SL. Make it make sense.
