Reject False Icons 4,425
Im not here to criticize her career cause I've enjoyed every album, but what makes me question this is because specially in the Impossible Princess record, she writes about deep mental struggles, existencialism, and many other things. So why she never wrote about her struggles like before, a couple of songs since then but, I don't know a lot of stuff happened, and I believe there's a part of her that still is like that, so why she doesn't show it anymore? Anveeroy 56,891
Impossible Princess wasn't a good memory for Kylie, it's more like an ARTPOP-era for her. Princess Diana died that year, she had to change the name of the album for a while in UK, delays, unsuccessful singles, and very underwhelmed album performance. Later, her label dropped her. After three years later she again re-appeared in the music-scene with LIGHT YEARS, the euphoric-dance album. It seems like people like DANCE-KYLIE, not INDIE-KYLIE. Stream Kylie-Janet Discographies! You are right, It wasn't a good time career-wise but she was so free and open as a songwritter and as an artist that I doubt that she would care about the charts, I just listen to what she wrioe and imagine that Kylie was so satisfied to finally write and express her emotions that she didn't care about the charts, but I don't know that

Blake 7,385
I'm not sure. Kylie and her current team LOVE Impossible Princess and Indie Kylie. She's said this many times and is the reason she keeps referencing it and working it into her tours etc. Someone above said otherwise but she actually likes it. RAMROD 96,179
Most likely because Dance Kylie sells. Doesn't mean Kylie dislikes Indie Kylie. personal prefences or favorites from am artist ti their own work sometimes can be very different. The thing is sometimes the artist just try to down play it so to not ruining people who enjoy other things the artists did, and also to keep the balance. So they only answer when asked about certain subjects instead of voluntarily give out the informations. IP will always a special album to her. Stream Kylie-Janet Discographies!
Spock 20,290
That era was very difficult for Kylie because she was getting dragged by the media non-stop, ARTPOP style. She likes a few of the songs like Wild Rose for example but I don’t think she looks at those times very fondly, which is something I noticed she does quite a lot The she got dropped and given Spinning Around and the rest is history who will love me when the night is over
