The Broadcast Music, Inc. awarded Dolly Parton 7 "Million-Air" awards today following her Billboard Magazine cover.

These awards are given out in recognition of songs reaching at least 1 million broadcast performances on radio. The following songs were awarded:

~ "I Will Always Love You": 10 million performances

~ "9 to 5" - 5 million performances

~ "Jolene" - 2 million performances

~ "Two Doors Down" - 2 million performances

~ "The Seeker" - 1 million performances

~ "Yellow Roses" - 1 million performances

~ "Coat of Many Colors" - 1 million performances

Of note, "I Will Always Love You" ranks in the 30 most-performed songs of all time according to BMI. This total can be attributed to multiple versions of the track. Parton became the first artist in history to have a song - "I Will Always Love You" - go #1 on the Billboard Hot Country songs chart on two separate occasions (1973 and 1983). Whitney Houston then released a very popular cover of the song in the 1990s for the Bodyguard Soundtrack. Finally, Parton returned to the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot Country songs chart again in 1995 for a new duet version with Vince Gill.
