did you not understand that I meant streaming music that is ALREADY RELEASED. I'm sure millions of people listen and download music from their fav that is unreleased or a target exclusive but it's very uncommon for people to RIP an album once it's out :vegas:

The data I posted is explicitly talking about millions upon millions of people who rip the songs off of streaming and never listen on streaming again.

Well Joanne did do worse critically, I really don’t think it’s going to be any different one year from now on that regard.

Yes. Wow what deep intricate songwriting. This must have taken months to craft. I'm still trying to understand these lyrics. Taylor could never :firega:

You're the one that I've been waiting for
Gotta quit this cryin'
Nobody's gonna heal me if I don't open the door
Kinda hard to believe, gotta have faith in me

Freak out, I freak out, I freak out, I freak out (look at me)
I get down, I get down, I get down, I get down (look at me)
I freak out, I freak out, I freak out, I freak out
Look at me now

'Cause all I ever wanted was love
Hey-ya, hey-ya (ooh)
Hey-ya, hey-ya (ooh)
Hey-ya, hey-ya
All I ever wanted was love
Hey-ya, hey-ya (ooh)
Hey-ya, hey-ya (ooh)
Oh, yeah, oh yeah

I want your stupid love, love
I want your stupid love, love
(Oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh)
(Oh, oh, oh, oh-oh-oh-oh)

Now it's time to free me from the shame
I gotta find that peace
Is it too late or could this love protect me from the pain?
I would battle for you, even if I break in two

Freak out, I freak out, I freak out, I freak out (look at me)
I get down, I get down, I get down, I get down (look at me)
I freak out, I freak out, I freak out, I freak out
Look at me now

'Cause all I ever wanted was love
Hey-ya, hey-ya (ooh)
Hey-ya, hey-ya (ooh)
Hey-ya, hey-ya
All I ever wanted was love
Hey-ya, hey-ya (ooh)
Hey-ya, hey-ya (ooh)
Oh, yeah, oh yeah

I want your stupid love, love
I want your stupid love, love
(Oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh)
(Oh, oh, oh, oh-oh-oh-oh)

I don't need a reason (oh)
Not sorry, I want your stupid love
I don't need a reason (oh)
Not sorry, I want your stupid love
Ah, yeah, ah yeah

I want your stupid love, love (whoa, oh, oh, woo)
We got a stupid love, love
(Love, love, oh, oh-oh, oh)
(Oh, oh, oh, oh-oh-oh-oh)
I want your stupid love, love
(Oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh)
(Oh, oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
I want your stupid love, love

Critics just follow trends. They panned Dark Horse by Nickelback. It deserved 90+ instead of Fetch The Bolt Cutters

Baby girl this ain’t TaylorDaily save ALL that. Don’t try and come for Gaga’s lyrics and compare it to La Diabla Blanca. Joanne walked so Folkwhore could run wbk.

Well that’s always going to be down to personal opinion. If you liked it you won’t agree with the reception it got, if you didn’t then you will agree. But in general it was better received by both critics and fans. Same with Fetch the Bolt Cutters. You don’t agree with the reception it got, but the majority would agree with it.

EDIT: Also, Nickelback? Really? I - :green:

Cheap 90s house beats that only the gays would love TBH. If she put out a sleeker album that was more cool it would have smashed several times harder. At least this time she doesn’t have reputational damage bogging her down, she can easily come out with better albums and smash again in the future.

So damn if she does and damn if she doesn't.

I bet you can produce albums better than her then.

... but here's the thing. Critics don't represent the GP. like they panned Teenage Dream by Katy Perry for example. One of the most beloved albums of the 2010s. You can't base critics opinions on the true quality of the album.

They write articles for clout.

Ok yeah then would you say the fans generally like Joanne more than Chromatica? Bc with the GP it’s harder to tell due to the fact that it’s a larger audience than the fandom. But with the fans, would you really say they received Joanne better? You can’t just tell me Joanne was better received than Chromatica in any regard lol. There’s no way you can objectively prove any album is better, so the closest thing you can use is see the general response from local listeners and fans. And Chromatica DID have a better reception overall you just can’t deny it, even if you take critics out of the equation.
