What makes it funny isn't the design in itself, but the fact he's gonna try to sell those to sneakerheads.... I mean, just imagine Kanye himself sporting those 

Also, on a strict design perspective, I do think they are pretty ugly and similar ideas have been better executed by other designers, but to each their own. There are ways to be avant-garde and cute, and that ain't it. It literally looks like a fossilized foot condom...

Actually no, they're not that innovative, Kanye is merely bringing the look to the mainstream (like his friend Virgil Abloh is doing over at LV Men, stealing from small fashion houses and spitting it out on his own runway thinking he's being revolutionary). We'll see how customers receive it.
