It's not a woman's job to convince men that she isn't a sex object. If you can't see a sex worker for more than her (or their, since they're not only women who work in that field) that's you patriarchal bias, not their fault. Do you see a teacher solely as a teacher? Do you see a shop owner solely as a salesperson? 

Sex work is a job just like any else. The way sex workers are exploited is the problem. The way they're demonized and objectified is the problem. The way they're harassed, raped, assaulted, and violated is the problem. Not the way they choose to make money.
