GagaSine 7,464 Posted August 6, 2020 Share Posted August 6, 2020 I think because she is such an immensely popular and iconic artist, a lot of her fan base is more a reflection of American pop culture than of her as an artist. Everyone wants a piece because she has been so successful with her career. So it really has nothing to do with her and her values. She could be an angel (and largely is someone who behaves very kindly especially post her ARTPOP meltdown phase, but even before that she was often talking about bullying and being kind) but still have a lot of nasty/negative fans because that’s just what pop fan culture is largely like.
