its saying that tickets that automatically come with an album automatically wont count towards sales, but if the customer chooses to add on the album to tickets they are purchasing, then they will

Is this what 6ix9ine was complaining about? Yet his song had the biggest fall from #1 ever?

This probably doesn't affect LG that much since her fanbase is active and looking for new music. Whereas old rock bands will be affected because their fans are not checking for new music.

Yeah it makes sense. They should make options to get people to “opt-in”

kinda like

+$3.49 for the album

+$5.00 album + exclusive tour keychain

+$10.00 album + exclusive tour shirt

+12.50 all 3 items

or something like that. Keep it cheap and reasonable. I work in these kinds of merchandise sales and I know that these shirts and keychains cost like $2-5 wholesale so Not much profit would be made from the merch, but it would encourage the buyer to “opt-in” which would end up helping the album sales like they already are.

Well, it’s always come across as a bit of a cheat tactic to me anyway. Sales numbers are going to get even worse from now on tho - seems like artists can’t catch a break in the streaming era...
