It had a less brutal leak than her past two studio albums I think. It leaked in bits and bits, demos, unconfirmed video stills, the such. Joanne leaked almost a whole week before!  The midnight global release is the same for practically every album tbh, even Haim's new album came out at the struck of midnight. Gonna be honest, I can't think of any artist I listen to that doesn't release at midnight, for an LP release. I always wait up til midnight for my favourite artists to release.
