Just think of the scene where Gaga puts the poison into the lemonade and does this hand dance while wearing a telephone helmet on her head, surrounded by flamboyant male dancers in provocative clothes. In that way, it succeeds, rather than fails, at seriousness, and avoids becoming naively ‘camp’ EDIT: like it’s already in on the joke and parodies itself parodying thelma & Louise Kill Bill ....
