And she made it clear that she wanted to express her message in a song rather than a post or something on Instagram. Thats how we got Never Worn White. Small Talk was just a cute song that she wanted to release as a treat to fans, and it sounded like it. Compared to Never Really Over which was a banger, and Harleys In Hawaii which sounded like an album cut, Small Talk sounded like it could have been a stand alone single like the way The Cure was for Gaga.
