RebeldeFaith 3,730
I'm unsure if it's been discussed already but I just realized that Chromatica is Gaga's first album were there's no fades at the end of any of the songs. I know it probably doesn't mean anything but it's something that she usually add to one or two songs on her albums and I find it curious she didn't this time. Do you like fades? Would you change any of the songs to add one? Something something idk
River 89,593
Not a fan of fades, I like endings, fades feels like she's walking away from me but keeps on singing and singing and I'm like girl where do you think you're going? but she's not stopping and she keeps on going going going girl, it's terrifying, I want a refund, Je ne parle pas français but I can padam if you like

SOON 2,902
It depends on the song but they really don't bother me, actually I like some of them especially Lorde's The Louvre fade gaga, halsey, lorde, taylor, dua
S0436 10,215
It feels like the fade on LMR shows it’s a demo, even if it may not be...
Judas Oyster 1,861
This time we got "start" fades but I like that they are very short and minimalistic. You gotta pay attention to understand it's a transition! I didn't realize until I heard the whole album 2 times.

It sounds like an echo (?) and then it continues at the beginning of 1000 Doves. 2 minutes ago, JoanneMonster said: but it has an ending, I think he means a fade like the dance in the dark one This exactly. 3 minutes ago, JoanneMonster said: But Love Me Right ends with a fade tho And I was just listening to this song and missed it. Dayman 5,881
I don't like fade outs because they can always be easily added to an existing track. A solid end is more workable for mixing and important for closing the story telling aspect to me. However that being said - fade outs do serve a purpose when used correctly - to make a song feel longer and like the party is still going. I think having Chromatica lead its tracks into each other serves the same purpose in a better way as an experience. Also, the album when listened with the bonus tracks "ends" at "Love Me Right" which does fade out and I think still fits then with the idea of the album/song "not ending" and then the remaining 3 bonus tracks feel like an encore/end credits to the album experience. Blown Away 5,218
works very well with a fade, better than the album version. doesn't work with a fade. So it really depends on the song for me. They shipped it, but it got shipped back
RudraCNG 13,320
I usually don't like fades. It seems like an uncreative, lazy way to end a song. Chromatica gets extra points bc of that. And actually I love how most of the songs link to the next one.
