Name one artist who was promoting gay rights 10 years ago. I can’t name any. Gaga literally took 80s sound, revamped it, and delivered a message of equality. As far as I recall, a bunch of songs also grabbed that 80s sound as well after Gaga released that album, and suddenly more artists were pro-LGBT openly. She was really the pioneer in this modern day.
