He put Million Reasons on his year end list for best songs of the 2010’s and he’s given good reviews to past Gaga songs. You can’t expect him to put it on the best songs list just because it’s a bop, in reality the song is undoubtedly good but it’s not STANDOUT aka it’s not gonna shake up the industry like Bad Romance. ROM definitely follows a lot of modern day pop music trends and there’s nothing wrong with that, and it’s the perfect song to celebrate your tears, but that doesn’t make it a GREAT song from a critical standpoint. Just a quick thought, if Rita Ora and Ava Max put out this song instead, y’all would have less strong opinions EDIT 2: he literally said he likes the song and he likes the house beats, he just thinks they’ve both explored this dance pop genre better in the past.
