Kiss 92.5 which is basically the 2nd largest Pop/Top 40 radio station in the Toronto area + outer regions of Golden horseshoe already played ROM a total of 8 times so far

 

The Toronto metro is 6 Million people, and cities outside the metro zone in Golden horseshoe is another 3 million... For a total of 9 Million or so in the coverage of this station (25% of Canada's population)

 

Support from Kiss 92.5 is critical because they are the station that typically picks up new singles the fastest in Canada's most populated  region and therefore often make or break trends of which singles will become radio hits. If they give support to a new single there is a tendency for other stations to pick it up later as well, if they ignore it, other stations tend to never give it a chance either. Kiss 92.5 response to a single is not a 100% garantee of what other stations will choose to do but they carry very heavy influence.

 

Other big top 40 stations like 99.9 virgin radio or Z-103.5 tend to take their time to pick up new singles into higher rotations giving this station arguably the highest power in setting radio trends in the whole Country

 

Kiss 92.5 played Stupid Love 16 times on debut day and it did indeed become a big radio hit
