'Joanne' drove Gaga into a deep depression

Maybe someone that deals with clinical depression can give more insight about it. 

It is a cycle and anything can throw you into it and it is a b*tch to claw yourself out of. I completely see how a very personal album that had a lot of hope and promise sent her crashing when those expectations were not met. But honestly nothing could have happened and she could have still gotten into a deep depression.
