I think it depends honestly, as I said it’s like I was 16 just yesterday and am speaking of experience in dating older guys.

Personally, I had the feeling to fit in into the life’s of the people I dated, if not we stopped dating. Even when the person was like 10 years older.

Maybe there’s a difference between the 15/16 years old that go to school and the ones that start working earlier. I graduated with 15 (my grades where good enough to do a year earlier) and started a training, so working full time, directly afterwards. I saved money and moved out with 16 in my own apartment.

Now I’m living together with my 8 years older boyfriend.  My life is and wasn’t too different than a 25 years old

Well I’ve been with guys even 8 to 10 years older than me, and while I know it’s something very prevalent in the gay community that doesn’t automatically mean it’s right. Even if I myself have done it, it’s perfectly understandable that it may come off as weird for outsiders. Especially if you’re 16 and with a 25 year old. Like damn, at 16 you’re still a high schooler. I know the age of consent over there is 16 but still. There’s no denying it’s kinda weird. Even moreso bc Tom is already a married adult.

Regardless of the truth, why are people so freakin' obsessed with youth?  Intelligence (and even gray hair and non-normative body types) is/are sexy.  I respect all attraction(s) or fantasies but obviously not if underage.

EDIT: Age of consent varies but, regardless, the obsession with attaining or dominating youth is especially cringey.  Call Me By Your Name was a decent film and story about first love, for example, but it is problematic as hellllll.

I don’t really believe this much. But to be fair, Tom being married doesn’t matter. Gay couples tend to be very sexually open. Someone said a few posts back that Tom and his husband even organize sex parties and it’s not too hard to believe. It’s pretty common in the gay community.
