I'm here for both collabs (though I don't like Madonna and Ari isn't my cup of tea either) but If I had to choose Ari wins 100%.

Not recognizing the importance of Madonna in modern culture (not even saying just Pop Music) is not an opinion, it's a travesty.

Madonna shapes the concept of modern female Popstar, literally. Exactly as Michael Jackson did for Male ones.

Of course there have been artists who paved the road for her (Cher, Debbie Harry etc.), but she took all the suggestion to create something that was completely unseen at that time:

- She used a "black" sound for her song, no white artist did this before (when her first single, Everybody, was released she wasn't on the cover and people thought she was African American.)

- You are probably too young to remember the 80s: at that time feminist still burned bras on the street, Madonna showed the world a woman can be powerful AND sexy. And that was a cultural shock. The Wannabes phenomenon was HUGE.

- Do we have to discuss about her use of religious imagery combined with sexual ones? Her use of words that were INCONCEIVABLE for a Teenagers' idol? (Virgin at that time was more outrageous that all the F-words of today songs combined.)

And I am not even starting with her music, I just say that there were artists that literally waited for her to release an album to do the same. She shaped the sound of the 80 (and even after).

I can agree that Today's Madonna is often painful to look at, she tries too hard and she became completely unfocused, but let Golden Age Madonna alone. You have no idea of what you are talking about.

Without her, the 99% of today's Pop acts simply would not exist.

Concerning her feud with Gaga, my opinion is the same since 2012. She thought it would have been fun to hint to a competition between queens, she underestimate the proportion it would have taken in the internet era, and it ended badly.

I wouldn’t have expected Madonna to sign up for something Gaga is arranging.  We shall see.

Cool, doesn't take away from her personality or the fact her catalogue of music isn't great :vegas:

How can you say this with a straight face? :toofunny:

Is Madonna perfect? No, she's a bitch, she's never tried to hide it. But she literally created the blueprint for all of your current faves' eras - while it is your right not to enjoy her music on a personal level, not showing any form of respect to the person that paved the way for pop girls back in a time when internet literally didn't exist is absolutely delusional and pathetic. Hopefully you're just very ignorant on the subject, so I encourage you to educate yourself so you don't come across as a complete idiot in the future.

I mean I'm literally speechless reading some comments on here... I personally haven't experienced the 80s, but in this day & age, there's no excuse for not educating yourself. Pretending to love pop music and not knowing anything about Madonna's legacy is quite something :duck:

So what do you want me to do? Kiss her ass even though I don't like her? :toofunny:   I don't care if she paved the way for my faves or not, I stan/like people who can sing, who make good music, who are good at entertaining, who are kind and compassionate to the core, who spead positivity and kindness and not be bitter or jealous of anothers success.

Cool, she was the it girl in the 80's and 90s' and encouraged female musicians to step into the limelight. Cudos to her, but I'm not gonna pretend to like her or idk what you want me to do for someone who I don't like as an artist or as a person

Thats all I'll say on that
