MANiCURE 6 9,919
"Summerboy" is the best song on 'The Fame'.
Andrew Shaw 300
Another song that nobody’s mentioned that‘s one of my fave unreleased songs from the “The Fame” era is Greatest (not The Greatest Thing, the original version)! Also, I know these are pre-Fame era but I wish Trigger and Hollywood made it. Hollywood would’ve fit the album’s theme perfectly!

JustJames 669
Can someone please summarize which tracks were made prior to The Fame, but as Lady Gaga (in other words, conceived for this era, not when she was still Stefani), as well as those during and after? If I am not already being too greedy, maybe songs that were made after but were definitely for The Fame Monster? Thanks. While I love Summerboy and Brown Eyes, I do think they are clearly disconnected thematically and sonically from the rest of the album. If I were to mess with the final tracklist, I would want to make the 'fame' theme stronger since Paparazzi ended up being her only hit that was relevant. Secondly, I'd want to increase the range of her vocals since Summerboy and Brown Eyes, while slower and less eletronic, didn't necessarily highlight her voice. I *love* +Retro Physical and think a music video would have slapped hard. I have always envisioned something akin to the visuals of American Horror Story 1984. I think it should have been released featuring RuPaul as a bonus track with music video. I love +Again, Again and think it should have been included in all releases of the album (not replacing any other song). I would add +Rockstar and +Vanity as additions to the Standard version; if needed, I would remove -Money Honey simply because it doesn't do much to showcase her talents and it is also her least favorite track. Both of these songs add a good 'bridge' between the Summerboy type of sound and the Pokerface sound. Finally, I would want to re-work +The Fame and +Starstruck since the first - especially the bridge - should have been iconic and its MV on the level of MTN. The second could have easily been a 'Right Round' moment for her, hitting #1, and giving her come gross-genre appeal. As it were, I believe Starstruck should have at least gotten the -Eh, Eh treatment as a limited release.
