My logic was the number of numbers and number of letters

7 numbers = 7 letters

Going by things like 7th letter of alphabet, etc, doesn't work. 

If you go by how on a key pad, each number has 3 letters, you then have to pick the correct letter, but 1 doesn't have any letters, so that doesn't work. 

 

He's just being annoying to be honest.
