Yeah I don't know how it works It may also depend on the contract. I've heard lines like "so and so is payed this much per concert" So there may be deals where they are literally payed a flat rate and the label handles the rest of expenses and keeps profit It's a business after all, and businesses in the same industry have contracts that come in many forms.
