Can someone please indicate me why it is so hard for international singers (singing in English, such as Dua Lipa) to make it in the US ???

I guess because US (being the main market in music industry) tend to launch trends and not follow them?

Reluctance of radio and very biased music execs that prevent other people outside of the US to have success. Especially country and hip hop don't want music from other countries to cross over because these genres are fairly local (at least the non-international acts which both genres have a lot of)

Because it’s such a big market maybe?

It was reset so its sales aren't slashed by half anymore. That's why it's high.

Why reset? :excited2:

Wasn't it out for a week? That might be the reason.

Because she's a pop artist singing pop songs, while Murica is only obsessed with trap, mumble rap, and shitty tik tok songs.

It had a 25%+ increase on NY week, so that temporarily resets it i think for 3 weeks.

The gap between Shallow and 7 rings keeps getting smaller and smaller :reductive:

"The Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media category at the Grammys is a hotly contested one this year, with the Elton John Rocketman biopic’s ST going up against A Star Is Born, The Lion King, Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Americaand Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.  A Star Is Born, which dropped in 2018, has racked up seven total noms and last year won for best Pop/Duo Group Performance, Best Song Written for Visual Media (both for “Shallow”). So basically you’ve got Sir Elton, Lady Gaga, Disney and Post Malone all in the mix, not to mention a contender for the Oscar Best Picture (with a ST co-curated by the director). The stakes are high here, and word has it that Tarantino and Elton, in particular, are very keen to take this trophy. Stay tuned."

Right :ohwell:

Isn't HDD always so bad at predictions? :huntyga:

Anyway, Grammys are really close. We will find out quite soon.
