It isn't a big deal the fact that INLA, ARUTW and ITA could all have been huge WW singles almost as big as Shallow and ASIB with 4 huge hits could be at 12m WW and in the Top5 of the biggest eras of the last decade. Double digit Grammy wins just looks so nice!!!!!!! Also Taylor has 10 wins with 35 nominations, would be so nice to get to 10 wins with only 27 nominations! The purpose of a soundtrack is to accompany and promote its parent movie attached to it. Generally, only one song is being pushed. And in our case, that was ms. Shallow. It became a major global hit, won countless awards, and carried the soundtrack. Purpose - achieved. There was no reason for another single. It would only have added to oversaturation. ASIB era was not an album cycle. I know y'all wanted huge WW singles so you can vicariously live through her achievements and throw them in the face of haters, but it was not needed. Yeah cuz France after 3 singles are so oversatured that radios and clubs play the leak of an track we don't even know what it is for ASIB is a special case when it comes to soundtracks, songs are very often either made to work just in the movie and won't work as well being played on radio/public places/streamed on it's own etc. Songs like ITA and ARTUW could belong to any pop album. Also there is rarely soundtracks where there are so many songs people like,like in ASIB. ASIB did really deserve more singles even if it's a soundtrack. Shallow like it played out, ARUTW sent to radio ww in early jan like they did in some Europe countries. They could have waited with it in the US to after the Oscars and released it there closer to the summer. Then they could have used ITA to promote the extended release of the movie as the last single. If it was the plan last year, it still could be this year. For all we know, she could've filmed a video in conjuction with Haus Labs during the fall. They have their reasons to keep the date.
