Sometimes, a work can be better when it's spontaneous and released pretty quickly (I mean, look at "thank u, next" for instance, or even "The Fame Monster" to a certain extent). When you keep reworking old stuff, it loses the initial intention and you get bored of things that were brilliant in the first place. We have to respect the creative process, of course, but sometimes wanting to make things too perfect leads to the opposite effect - Gaga needs to trust her instincts and not worry about releasing something perfect.
