Either Pheonix for "Joker" or Christian Bale for "Le Mann '66"  for best actor

Movie awards this year seem very competitive. I'm excited to see what'll win. The movies themselves also all seem pretty good.

From this list, I've watched Joker, Marriage Story, Rocketman, Lion King, and Frozen 2. I plan on seeing The Two Popes, The Farewell, Parasite,  Bombshell, and JoJo Rabbit sometime too.

I will say, out of the movies I've seen this year, both Joker and Marriage Story really stand out. I really want Joaquin Phoenix to win, but after watching Marriage Story yesterday, I would also really love to see Adam Driver win. Scarlett Johannson was also great in that movie; the acting and directing was superb.

Joker and Marriage Story are my current favourites from this year! Marriage Story was so powerful and the acting was just insane although it was hard to watch at times because of how brutally heartbreaking it was. 

I still need to see Parasite and excited for Bombshell and Little Women!

I've heard good things about Little Women, so I might give that a try. I definitely really want to see Parasite, though! I've heard nothing but absolute praise from that movie. Bombshell also looks great; I love all the actresses too.

I just watched Marriage Story yesterday, and yeah it's such a beautiful and well told story.  I don't think I realized just how good Johannson and Driver are as actors before this movie. The only thing I've ever seen Driver in besides this is the Star Wars franchise, and honestly, I don't particularly think he does well there (he's good, but not great!). However, he's incredible here. That scene where he and Johannson are just screaming and yelling at each other was so powerful. That will be taught in acting classes, I can guarantee that.

In terms of predicted wins, I think/hope that Phoebe Waller-Bridge and her two creations (Killing Eve & Fleabag) will sweep all of their categories. 

I want Bong Joon-ho to win for best Director and for Parasite to go on to be nominated for Best Picture for the Oscars and to win. (I realize that according to the Golden Globes rules, both The Farewell and Parasite can't be nominated in the regular Best Picture categories because 50% or more of dialogue is in a  language other than English).

I do consider it an animated movie. Just because it's photo-realistic doesn't take away from the fact that it's animated. It's just a different type of animation.
