I think we're a year ahead.  This decade is from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2020.   (To explain:  the very first year A.D.  was 1, not 0.  There was never a "year 0", since 0 is nothing.  So decades start with a 1 and end with a 0.)

Well  I think it's because people refer to past decades like the 70s, 80s, 90s, as starting from the zero year. Like the year 1980 is considered the 80s, 1990 is considered the 90s. So 2020 is the start of the 20s

I won't say who but currently one artist has FOURTEEN different songs in the running for best song 

It's not a good thing because it splits the vote, compared to another artist whose fans are for the most part voting for 1 or 2 specific tracks.
